Vintage Finds

Alison and I spent Saturday afternoon perusing some antique shops. I love doing this because since Trav and I have only been in our house a few months and haven't done much design work, random pieces I find can inspire an entire room. Here are two pieces I came home with...

I'm collecting green vases for a display in my living room - which is going to be a greens-browns-creams color palette. I love this shape...

My kitchen is going to be a sunny yellow. How neat would a mismatched set of these juice containers and glasses look on a shelf against a bright yellow wall? I know I've seen other pieces like this around, so now I'm on the hunt...

As we were checking out, I noticed a rack of these gift tags...

They are made with old playing cards! So neat! There was no designer or merchant info, and the gal at the desk just said it was someone local that made them. I wish I knew who it was to give them credit! Such a cool, simple idea. I'm going to work on my own take on these this week, so stay tuned!

Thanks! Yes, I am itching to make some of these tags - with my own little twist! :)
