Less Crafting More Beaching!

I'll be honest... there hasn't been a whole lot of crafting going on around here lately...

The weather here in Michigan the past few days has been BEAUTIFUL - 75 degrees and sunny.  And if you know anything about Michigan, you know that once our heavy winter is finally showing signs of its end... we're all desperate to be out frolicking in the sunshine!

On Wednesday, Travis jutted out of work a tad early and we took an impromptu trip down to South Haven, about 50 minutes from our house, where my in-laws have a condo and where we had our wedding.

We took a walk on the beach...

And hunted for the first beach glass of the season...

After our walk we headed to neighboring lake town Saugatuck for dinner before heading home.

This weekend when the weather is cold again... I'll get back to crafting!

(updated at 9:21am)

PS...
I meant to include this in the original post, and Regina's lovely comment reminded me.

I've been including just a smidge of my personal life in here lately... is that okay by you?  My personal blog has kind of fallen by the wayside, and I thought I might try showing you a little of it right here.

Don't worry - crafting will still be my focus - I just may share a few other joyful things if that's okay?  Let me know what you think...

A well-deserved break! What a gorgeous beach...and you're a girl after my own heart searching for glass! I wish I had the freedom to pick up and spend time with my husband like that....it's a little hard with four kids. I love the wedding photo. Speaking of photos, what kind of camera do you have? I love your photos.

Looks so beautiful where you are. What a lovely place to get married and to return too. I know what you mean about heavy winters - we still had lots of fresh snow snow on Monday, but the last few days of high temps have melted it all and made a mess of everything.

Thank you for the nice comment you left regarding my paper towel wreath at Tatertots and Jello. I really appreciated it :-)

Looks like you had a great time! Not much crafting around here lately either... it's just been too nice. (Although I have been spinning and knitting outside on the porch so I can enjoy the nice weather.) It's going to be cold and rainy here all weekend so I might get some crafting done this weekend too.
