Mexican Tissue Paper Flowers

I worked on these paper flowers last night that are serving as inspiration for the Pinata Project.

Then I worked on emulating some of the two dimensional flowers from the original photo...

Here's what I came up with:

I'm thinking I want to completely cover the pinata with tissue flowers, both 2D and 3D, of all different shapes, color combinations, and sizes. What do you think?

  1. Both look really nice, I especially love the 2D for a pinata they are so graphic! How did you do the 3D ones?

  2. Those are awesome! The 3D ones look like hydrangeas :) Ooooh the pinata is going to be so cool. Thanks again!

  3. These remind me of some flowers that I think you made at Pre school for Mothers Day.

  5. I experimented with a few different ideas I found online, and ended up combining a couple of different ways to make them. They weren't hard - but very fiddly since tissue paper is sooo thin. I'll post a tutorial soon... watch this space! :)
